Meet  Sam Benzing, M.A.

  • Coffee ice cream is my favorite food

  • When I am not in the office, you can find me out on the trails hiking, running, riding, and skiing

  • My dog Lu is my best trail buddy

  • I love to cook and bake

  • I've recently taken up ceramics and am becoming obsessed with working on the wheel

  • Major Hot Chocolate Lover (and always searching for the best one in town)

  • Taco lover

  • My dog sings to certain songs so we jam out in the car

  • Movies and T.V. shows make me fall asleep (going out to a movie and staying awake is a challenge)

  • I am always planning the next place I am going to travel to

I've spent years working with people who expect a lot from themselves. Athletes, coaches, teens, adults... people who work hard, care deeply, and often feel like they have to hold it all together

As a former NCAA coach, I've seen firsthand that confidence, resilience, and self-trust matter just as much as talent or hard work. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, performance pressure, or the unique challenges women and coaches often face, like discrimination, I'm here to help you move forward with genuine support and understanding.

Sessions with me feel easy to settle into, like a space where kids can be kids, teens do not have to perform, and parents get to feel included instead of left guessing.

Families often describe me as patient, collaborative, easy to connect with, and genuinely invested in their child’s growth. Whether we’re practicing coping skills, talking through hard stuff, celebrating wins, or just finding our footing together, my goal is for everyone to feel heard, supported, and on the same team.
